Clifford – The Big Red Dog

What kid doesn’t love Clifford the Big Red Dog??  I don’t think many!!  Today, I have a wide variety of Clifford materials for you.  I hope that you’ll find something that you can use and that the kids will enjoy!!

Clifford-discontinued

First up, there is a set of alphabet flashcards posters with the upper and lower case letter on each card and a set of flashcards posters that has the days and months on them.  There’s also a set of flashcards posters for 0-25 with the numeral and number word, as well as a set of US money posters with the front and back of each coin and the coin name.  The last set of flashcards posters is for colors and it features the color word with that color bone in Clifford’s mouth!!  All posters are 5 x 7 and could be used for large cards as well.

I created a set of 2-part cards for money using 4 coins for amounts less than $1 and a set for matching the colors of Clifford’s paw to the color word that Clifford and his friends are looking for.  There’s also a set of shape cards that can be used several ways.  They can be used to play concentration, “Go Fish”, “Old Maid”, or a variety of other things!!

Next is as set of clothespin cards for counting Clifford’s dog dishes or bones and a set for matching the lower case letter to Clifford’s upper case letter.  The final item is a set of word wall cards for Clifford and his friends.

Clifford Calendar Set

I know it’s been forever since I posted.  Life is just busy and I have a lack of creative ideas right now.  I’m hoping with summer here that there will be a new flow of ideas that I can get hot on!!

One of the ladies in my group requested some Clifford – The Big Red Dog items.  One of the things that she wanted was a calendar set.  That’s what I’m sharing with you today!!  You’ll find calendar numbers with some extras, years to 2017, and all the months.  Also, there’s a set of “yesterday”, “today”, and “tomorrow” cards where the days fit in the blank space.

A Bee C’s Writing Strips

Today, I have a set of tracer strips.  They can be used as cards/strips, or they can be placed on a metal ring.  I recommend printing on card stock, laminating them, and using a dry erase marker to practice writing the upper and lower case alphabet.  Each strip features and adorable little bee, thus the A Bee C’s Writing Strips!!

Spring Calendar Set

I know this is a little late, but hopefully you will still be able to use it.  This is a spring calendar set.  Yes, spring “ends” at the end of May (since summer begins in June), but I just had to finish it and get it shared!!

This is the perfect set for spring with lots of pink, white and teal flowers.  I used a fresh spring-like font for the numbers and words.  The years go from 2012-2016, so you can get plenty of use from it.  I also included all 12 months for those that like spring all year long!!  It also includes the days of the week and the yesterday, today, and tomorrow cards.  Finally, there are 31 dates and lots of extras for the holidays that fall from March to May.

Circus Train Ordinals

I had big plans for more freebies through the weekend, but I only got one thing created.  That’s alright though, because I celebrated Mother’s Day with my family and did nothing except enjoy my day!!  I did manage to get one item made, and I’m really happy with it.

This is a set of strip cards to place on a ring so the kids can flip through them.  They cover the ordinals of first through twelfth.  The ordinal numeral with the circus act is matched to the ordinal word on the circus train car.

I recommend printing on card stock and then laminating for extra durability.  Also, since they’re ring cards, you want want to attach a small piece of velcro to each train car and the backs of the circus acts.  That way, they won’t fall off if you use them as ring cards and not just cards to lay flat on the table top.

More Froggie

At the end of April, I shared some froggie flashcards that I’d made for a request from one of my group members.  I’ve now created some additional materials for her and wanted to share them with all of you!!

First is a set of puzzles featuring the same cute froggie, plus a couple of his friends.  The puzzles come in 4, 6, and 8 pieces.  If you print on cardstock and laminate, they’re perfect for little hands!!

There’s also a set of alphabet clothespin cards.  The upper case letter is on froggie and the lily pad with the matching lower case letter is clipped or marked.

Also in the making right now is a set of number clothespin cards.  They will be from 0 – 25 with the number of froggies being clipped to the numeral.  If these aren’t in the file when you download, please come back to get them!!  (When the thumbnail view is available, these cards will be available.)

Transportation

In my group right now, we’re having a month long transportation theme.  I found the idea for the first item while browsing the internet, but unfortunately don’t remember where I found it.  I’m in no way taking credit for the original concept of this game, but knew that I wanted to use it with this theme.

The first item is what I’m calling Modes of Transportation Front & Back 3-Part Puzzle Cards.  Each card has the middle section of a mode of transportation.  The player has to find the front and back of that mode of transportation to complete the puzzle.  Wouldn’t it be fun to make silly transportation too and swap out pieces??

Next are some transportation cards.  These can be used as flashcards, or used to play games like “Transport Me” (a transportation version of “Go Fish”) or concentration/memory, as well as many other things.  There’s also a storage box included.

Finally, I made a huge set of transportation letter tile mats.  There’s so many, that there’s 3 downloads!!  There’s also an answer key for some images that one might not recognize.

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the parts to this transportation theme….

Froggie Flashcards

Yes, I finally have some printables to share with you all!!  It’s been a long stretch, hasn’t it??  I do apologize, but I just had no fresh ideas and things got super crazy busy.  Most of it was good times and it just left little time for me to focus on much else.

A nice lady in my PPoT group asked me to make her a set of flashcards for Pre-Primer Dolch Sight Words and for numerals.  She had this little frog in mind, but I had to see if I could find him.  I did and got on my way to creating!!

In addition to doing the 2 sets of flashcards that she asked for, I also did a set of number words.  These are just exclusively for all of you, my readers and followers, for sticking by me when my offerings were slim to none!!

The numeral and number word flashcards are both 0-25.  There are 40 Pre-Primer Dolch flashcards.  Also, if anyone needs a different grade level or more numbers….or any other type of flashcards, please just let me know!!  Use the “contact The Schoolhouse” in the right hand column or leave a comment and just let me know what you need.

Sequence & Pray – Our Father

Today on Commotion from the Ocean of Life, my “family life” blog, I posted a new Christian game.  It’s called Sequence & Pray – Our Father.  This is the Catholic version of the prayer.

If 2 sets of the cards are printed, they could be used for concentration/memory.  They can also be used to sequence the words to the prayer on the mat.  There are a number of other things that could be done with them as well as reciting the prayer.

If you’re interested in this printable sequence & pray activity, please just click the button below to get the…..

If you use this printable, please leave a comment or click the button below to vote for my blog. I create by the input that I receive and this lets me know that there’s an interest in the materials that I share. Thanks!!

Frustration

So I’ve been working most of this week on just ONE game.  I have the thought in my head, but I just can’t get it put on paper.  I’m so frustrated.  I don’t know why I can’t get it to work.  I don’t usually have this problem.  I might struggle for ideas, but once I have them, they usually work out.  I feel like I’m starting to beat my head against the wall.

Worst of all, it was for Easter and I’m obviously not going to get it completed now.  Also, that left me without much to share with you all this week.  I do apologize and hope that I can get something new out soon.  Perhaps my game that I’m working on will just have to wait until next Easter!!

UGH!!

Easter Egg Alphabet Match

PHEW!!  A little hectic today, but I still managed to get something created.  It’s a little basic, but should still prove useful to many of my readers.

This is a set of cards that feature an adorable bunny and chick with their Easter eggs.  The upper case letter is matched to it’s lower case letter.  They could also be used as flashcards, to make words, or other things.  I also created a storage box to keep them in so that no cards get lost!!
