Symbols of the U.S. from A-Z Flashcards

Here’s the second part of the project that I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but just finally got working on it.  The first part was a set of 5×7 posters and this is a set of flashcards.

This is a set of flashcards that feature symbols of the United States. There is one for each letter of the alphabet. I did have to get creative with “X”, so please no negative feedback. You can choose not to use it or replace it with something of your choice.  These have a few different images than the posters do to add some variety to them!!

There are 4 sets of flashcards. Included is one set each for Zaner-Bloser manuscript and cursive. You’ll also find one set each for D’Nealian manuscript and cursive. They can be identified by ZB or DN in the file name. If it’s cursive, it’ll also include that in the file name.

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the flashcards….

Images from internet sources and believed to be public domain.

If you’re interested in these flashcards, just….

I hope that you’ve enjoyed the posters and flashcards featuring the great symbols of the United States.  This is one my favorite projects and I regret that it took so long for me to do, but I’m thrilled that they’re now done.  If you missed the 5×7 posters, you can find them here.

If you use any of my printables, have any requests, or just want to let me know how you used them, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog. (You can vote ONCE a day!!) I also have a “contact” button in the right column. I love feedback and I truly create by the input that I receive….thanks!!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

No, this isn’t a recipe, although baking some does sound awfully good!!  It’s just too hot to spend that much time in the kitchen though.  So, we’ll just have to settle for a couple of free printables!!

The first is a counting mat.  A cookie with a number is placed on the mat in the space provided, then that many chocolate chips are counted out and placed on the cookie.  The second item is a set of 2-part puzzle cards.  The numeral on the cookie jar will be match to that number of chocolate chips on the cookie.

Both of these activities are for counting 0 to 25.

Frustration

So I’ve been working most of this week on just ONE game.  I have the thought in my head, but I just can’t get it put on paper.  I’m so frustrated.  I don’t know why I can’t get it to work.  I don’t usually have this problem.  I might struggle for ideas, but once I have them, they usually work out.  I feel like I’m starting to beat my head against the wall.

Worst of all, it was for Easter and I’m obviously not going to get it completed now.  Also, that left me without much to share with you all this week.  I do apologize and hope that I can get something new out soon.  Perhaps my game that I’m working on will just have to wait until next Easter!!

UGH!!

Easter Egg Alphabet Match

PHEW!!  A little hectic today, but I still managed to get something created.  It’s a little basic, but should still prove useful to many of my readers.

This is a set of cards that feature an adorable bunny and chick with their Easter eggs.  The upper case letter is matched to it’s lower case letter.  They could also be used as flashcards, to make words, or other things.  I also created a storage box to keep them in so that no cards get lost!!

Fill the Wagon with Easter Eggs

I’m finally back and have a new freebie to share!!  Sorry that I was away longer than expected, but it took me awhile to get back in full swing again.  I do hope that you enjoyed the printables that I scheduled to post while I was away.  I still haven’t fixed that typo, but I will this weekend and I’ll post when I do so that you can update your file if you want.

For today, I have an Easter themed counting mat.  This one is Fill the Wagon with Easter Eggs and is for counting 1-15.  The numeral is placed in the box to complete the sentence of “Fill the wagon with __ Easter eggs”, and then that number of eggs is placed in the wagon.

I do plan on making more Easter printables this weekend so that they can be used all next week in school or at home.  Be sure to stay tune!!

Kiss Me I’m Lucky Party Pack

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I created a party pack to help everyone with their St. Patrick’s Day parties and celebrations.  If you haven’t found what you needed in the store, or planned a last minute get-together, hopefully you’ll find what you need here!!  I broke everything down by topic, so you can find just what you need….or you can get it all.

In the “goody bags & gift boxes”, there’s a large gift bag and a gable box.  Print 2 of each and assemble.

You’ll find salt & pepper boxes, a french fry box, a hamburger box, and a hot dog container in the “food” pack.  There’s also a popcorn box that you’ll need to print 2 of, then assemble.

For “party supplies”, you’ll find napkin rings, a silverware pocket, and a banner.  There’s also a party hat and glasses.

There are Chapstick boxes and a sucker package “for the kids & goody bags”, as well as a boomerang and tri-boomerang.  You can also find a door hanger and mini-bookmarks.  Finally, there is a crayon box for 8 crayons and a pencil box.

Lucky Money

I took a break and tried to get my creative juices flowing again after all the madness of having something for everyday of the week for Dr. Seuss and the contest.  I’m ready to move on again and get to making things!!

I realized that I was running out of time to create for St. Patrick’s Day, so that’s what I got to work on first!!  This is a set of 2-part cards called Lucky Money.  The amount on the pot of gold is matched to that value in coins.  These go up to 99¢ and use quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies.

The coins are © US Mint.  Graphics and background © A-Manda Creation with permission.

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the cards….

Today is the FINAL day of my “Seuss-icle Followers Contest” and there’s ONLY 5 HOURS left to enter!!  I want to remind anyone (current or new) who follows my blog and/or Facebook to leave a comment on this post, so that you can be entered into the contest for a $10 gift certificate to Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT).  Also, please read it through so you can find other ways to enter and have your friends and family enter too.  But hurry, there’s only 15 days left, as the winner will be announced at 8pm (CST)!!  Just click here to read and learn more.

ContestEnd-EnjoyFreebies byElaineOnce again, I have 3 freebies today and they’re all for a variety of Dr. Seuss.  First off is Dr. Seuss Concentration.  This is a huge set of cards to play memory match with and also includes the storage box.

Next up, I created a file folder game (ffg) based on CandyLand and I call it Seuss Land.  This one is for little ones and is played just like the previous named game.  It includes all the movement cards and a very colorful game board.  The only thing you need to provide is the player tokens and the kids will have fun moving between all the Seuss characters in Seuss Land!!

Finally, there’s something for all the adults that have been visiting me this week.  I created a set of 4 Seuss based checkbook covers.  They fit in any clear plastic sleeve to hold checkbooks.  They’re all fun and cute, but with an adult flair that will surely get a comment when you pull it out of your purse!!

All characters and books © Dr. Seuss and Seuss Enterprises.  All images from internet sources and believed to be public domain.  Clipart on the checkbook covers is © The 3am Teacher purchased @ TPT.  Background and stars for Seuss Land © Scrappin’ Doodles with permission.
