New and Expanding

I’m back for an update and some news! First I want to start off by saying that I’ve temporarily closed down my Shop here at The Treasured Schoolhouse. I do intend to reopen it, but it’ll be a couple of months. It was taking too long to do my updates, so I decided instead of letting it looks messy and only half complete, that I’d just close it and get things back on track. I expect with the holidays here, that it will take some time and I can do it little by little this way. I do have other locations where you can shop The Treasured Schoolhouse though and I hope that you’ll take the opportunity to visit me at those locations.

I’m happy to announce that Amazon has started a new Digital Educational Resources section on their site. You will now be able to find resources from The Treasured Schoolhouse there!

This new digital educational resources area of Amazon is called Ignite. I’m honored to say that I was part of the beta testing process and am now part of the marketplace. The Treasured Schoolhouse is one of the featured sellers, among many other great educational goods stores. I hope that you’ll be sure to check out The Treasured Schoolhouse on Amazon Ignite! Finally, I’ve added a new resource to the Subscriber’s Only page. This one is a simple game for Christmas to celebrate the nativity. I have plans to add at least one more resource before Christmas, but I haven’t decided if it’ll be a Subscriber Only or for everyone, so keep an eye out!

Updating

Hello all!!

I know it’s been forever since I’ve done a blog post. I feel horrible because when I get busy, this is the first thing that seems to fall aside for me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of you for sticking by me and The Treasured Schoolhouse. You are the BEST and I know it!!

This is just basically going to be an update as to what’s going on and what you can expect to be happening around here. First I’m starting with updating all the freebies that are on the blog. Many of them haven’t been available for quite some time for various reasons. I’m going to update them and make them usable again. I’m not going to work on them in any certain order, but I hope to get to all of them in somewhat of a timely manner. The exception will be those that are Seuss, Disney, and other characters like those. I’ve learned a lot over time and I fully understand now that those are in violation and won’t ever be available again. They were also the first I deactivated when I found out how serious of an issue it is. We all learn and grow….or we should!!

Next up is The Treasured Schoolhouse Shop. I’m still getting random orders despite there being no photos or real store front. I want to work on getting those images back up and make the resources fully available. The good thing is that other than the “Exclusive” materials, everything can be purchased on the other marketplaces where I sell my resources.

The “Subscriber Only” page will be getting some additions as well. I’m thinking that this will be a slow process as I really want to get the blog freebies updated. It’s hard to work on new and old at the same time. However, there will be some new materials coming to that page and hopefully soon as I truly appreciate all of you who have subscribed and joined my mailing list.

I think that about covers everything. It’s going to be a long process, but it WILL happen. If there’s anything that you’ve been wanting and it’s not available, please let me know and I’ll work on those first. See you next time!!

As with previous years, many clipartists are offering FREEbies for Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s just their way of saying “Thank You” for all that you do. I really feel like they deserve the “Thank You”….and most of them are teachers as well. There’s so many great clipartist out there and sometimes they just don’t get enough recognition. Goodness knows that I couldn’t do a lot of what I do without their hard work and talent.

Taking Longer Than Expected

I just thought that I would pop on with a quick message to update you all about what’s going on.

Well, basically it’s nothing! Updating my site after moving to a new host is taking way longer than expected. Really most of it is done, but I haven’t been able to get all my images uploaded. I’ve just had so much going on that I’ve had little time to devote to adding the images. On top of that, it’s very time consuming to try to find all the missing images.

I truly appreciate you all being so patient and sticking by even though you rarely hear from me. I couldn’t ask for better followers! I’ll be coming up with something for you all soon so that I can say “thank you” in a proper way. In the meantime, I’m honestly doing my best, but you know how life can be.

Take care and I hope that you’re having as beautiful of a Spring as we are here!

Site Maintenance

I don’t know how much you’ve been paying attention to The Treasured Schoolhouse, but it was down for a bit. My contract was up with my host, so I transferred to a new one. In the process, I lost everything!

With the help of my new host, we’ve managed to restore just about everything. There are still many gaps in the site that I’m working on little by little. If you notice things amiss, fear not, we’re in maintenance mode! You may find downloads not working or images that aren’t visible….or other glitches like that. Hopefully they’ll all be back to normal soon. Please remember though that if a post/download is marked as “expired” it can be found in my shop or stores. If a post/download is marked as “discontinued” it is no longer available.

Where the most work needs to be done is with orders that customers have made from the Shop. The orders are there, but the downloads are missing. This is at the top of my list to get fixed. If you have any issues, please contact me and I’ll get to work on it immediately. Also, the “Subscribers Only” page is down. That is also a top priority to get the site up and properly running.

I do appreciate everyone’s patience through this. I don’t have a timeline for completion, but I’m working hard and doing it on my own. For most of you, this really isn’t going to change things at all. For others, you may see glitches here or there, but we should be in good form and ready to go!

Advent: New and Revised

Are you ready for Advent? Tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent for 2018. If you haven’t yet prepared your lesson or activities, I might be able to help!

First, I’ve updated my 2 previous Advent Activity Packs. I’ve revised them so that all the color purple is now violet and pink is now rose. It’s a fairly minor change, but I wanted them to be modernized with the colors that we now call them and they’re the same through all the resources now.

I’ve created a new Advent Activity Pack for this year. It’s the 3rd installment! This one has a “My Advent Reflections” book that the kids or even adults can note their reflections for each Sunday or week of Advent. There are 2 to write on with differenciated lines for various ages/grades. There is also one to draw on. It also includes a worksheet and 5 puzzles….and they all have an answer key!

This pack is also comprised of 22 word wall cards and 2 blank for you to add words of your own. Some of the ways to use these cards are to just display them during a lesson, write sentences using the words, write the room, and many other uses. A few of the words included are coming, hope, liturgical year, Advent, rose, and more!

The best part about this? I’ve combined all 3 Advent Activity Packs into a bundle at more than 20% off the individual resource price. Is there anything better? Yes, there is!
