Merry CHRISTmas!!

Merry-Christmas-Nativity

Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

~Luke 2:4-7

Merry CHRISTmas to all!!

Layers and Animals of the Rainforest

We had a “challenge” in my group for the rainforest theme.  I created this file folder game (ffg) for my members.  Players will label the 4 layers of the rainforest.  They will also sort animals into the 4 layers where they spend most of their time.  I wasn’t able to create a worksheet to accompany the game, but an answer key for the ffg is provided.

Here’s a thumbnail view of parts of the game….

All the images are from internet sources and believed to be public domain.

If you’re interested in this game, just….

If you use this game, have any requests, or just want to let me know how you used them, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog. (You can vote ONCE a day!!) I also have a “contact” button in the right column. I love feedback and I truly create by the input that I receive….thanks!!

Symbols of the U.S. from A-Z Flashcards

Here’s the second part of the project that I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but just finally got working on it.  The first part was a set of 5×7 posters and this is a set of flashcards.

This is a set of flashcards that feature symbols of the United States. There is one for each letter of the alphabet. I did have to get creative with “X”, so please no negative feedback. You can choose not to use it or replace it with something of your choice.  These have a few different images than the posters do to add some variety to them!!

There are 4 sets of flashcards. Included is one set each for Zaner-Bloser manuscript and cursive. You’ll also find one set each for D’Nealian manuscript and cursive. They can be identified by ZB or DN in the file name. If it’s cursive, it’ll also include that in the file name.

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the flashcards….

Images from internet sources and believed to be public domain.

If you’re interested in these flashcards, just….

I hope that you’ve enjoyed the posters and flashcards featuring the great symbols of the United States.  This is one my favorite projects and I regret that it took so long for me to do, but I’m thrilled that they’re now done.  If you missed the 5×7 posters, you can find them here.

If you use any of my printables, have any requests, or just want to let me know how you used them, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog. (You can vote ONCE a day!!) I also have a “contact” button in the right column. Mr. Potato Head NFL Memory

I was filling a request for a group member to create Mr. Potato Head items when I came across these great NFL themed Mr. Potato Head‘s!!  I just loved them and knew I had to do something with them.

I ended up making a set of memory cards with the Mr. Potato Head for each team in the NFL on the cards.  I ran into an issue of not being able to find an image for 2 of the teams.  They are the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  However, the 30 other teams are represented!!  I also created a storage box to keep the cards in.

Mr. Potato Head © Hasbro,  PPW Toys and licensed by the NFL.  Images and backgrounds from internet sources and believed to be public domain, unless otherwise noted.  Please note that I lay no claim to ownership of Mr. Potato Head, the NFL, or anything pertaining to them.  These printables are for educational purposes only!!

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the cards and the storage box….

To get the memory cards and storage box, please just….

Just a note that if you happen to find an image of either or both of these teams, I’d be more than happy to create cards for them.  Just use the contact form in the right column to let me know that you have the images or where I can find them and I’ll get the cards made right up!!

If you use this memory game, have any requests, or just want to let me know how you used this printable, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog. (You can vote ONCE a day!!) I love feedback and I truly create by the input that I receive….thanks!!

Kiss Me I’m Lucky Party Pack

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I created a party pack to help everyone with their St. Patrick’s Day parties and celebrations.  If you haven’t found what you needed in the store, or planned a last minute get-together, hopefully you’ll find what you need here!!  I broke everything down by topic, so you can find just what you need….or you can get it all.

In the “goody bags & gift boxes”, there’s a large gift bag and a gable box.  Print 2 of each and assemble.

You’ll find salt & pepper boxes, a french fry box, a hamburger box, and a hot dog container in the “food” pack.  There’s also a popcorn box that you’ll need to print 2 of, then assemble.

For “party supplies”, you’ll find napkin rings, a silverware pocket, and a banner.  There’s also a party hat and glasses.

There are Chapstick boxes and a sucker package “for the kids & goody bags”, as well as a boomerang and tri-boomerang.  You can also find a door hanger and mini-bookmarks.  Finally, there is a crayon box for 8 crayons and a pencil box.

Graphics and background © A-Manda Creation with permission.

Here’s a thumbnail view of just some of the pieces in this party pack (click to enlarge)….

This is an item that I was asked to share before the end of my Seuss-icle week was over.  It’s a ffg (file folder game) called There’s a Wocket in My Pocket Color Match Pockets.  You can cut slits in the top of the pockets to insert the color word Wockets that match the color of the pockets.  Or, you can simply just play to match them up.  There’s 2 versions….one is very colorful and will take lots of ink and the other is low ink.  They’re the same, just depends on how much ink you want to use!!

Seuss-icle Day 3: Dr. Seuss Writing Centers

For the third day of my “Seuss-icle Followers Contest” week, I have some writing sheets.  They’re not just writing though!!  They also include read, write, stamp, paste, and draw the titles of Dr. Seuss books.  Not all the skills on the same sheets for some variety.

ContestEnd-EnjoyFreebies byElaine

I shared a couple of these in my group and they were a huge hit with Dr. Seuss book titles and/or characters.  I also made a 3rd set that combines the skills on both of the other sets.  These are basically my version of a “write the room” for Seuss activity.  All sets will have “read”, “write”, and “draw”.  One will have “stamp”, one will have “paste” and the last will have “stamp and paste”.
