Pet Vet

In my group, one of our summer themes is prop boxes.  Dramatic play is so important in the development of children.  My daughter loved all things “grown up” and would play all sorts of these dramatic play things.

One of her favorites was playing vet, which she still intends to be!!  I made to exam sheets or record sheets for her.  One was made in 2009 and one in 2010.  Yes, she was still playing “grown up” just a couple years ago.  She had a cash register (real one), so she loved to do anything and everything with it.  She loved to ring up her customers!!

Anyway, these are 2 of the sheets that I made for her and I want to share them with you to use for your little ones.  Each one has a choice of type of animal, reason for visit, and pet’s name.  After that they differ and can be used for different functions.  I hope that your kids get as much enjoyment as my daughter did!!

Here’s a thumbnail view of the sheets….

Curious George

I’m sorry for my long absence of not sharing any freebies.  I just haven’t been making much.  It saddens me to say that my FREE printables are showing up all over GigaTribe again.  No matter how many times I ask that people remove them, they just flat out refuse.  I have no inspiration to continue creating materials if they’re going to constantly be abused and no respect shown toward me.  For pity sakes, I offer them for FREE!!  All they have to do is join my group or visit my blog to get them and NOT put them on Giga.  It’s pretty simple really!!

CuriousGeorge & BigHatAnyway, I’m back today with some materials for Curious George.  He was recently a theme in my group and I wanted to share with you what I made for them.  Not to worry though, I have plans for some reader exclusives!!

There is a set of 5×7 alphabet posters that were requested by one of my members.  There’s also a set of alphabet flashcards that have the upper and lower case letter on them.  They can definitely be used as more than just flashcards!!

You’ll also find a set of puzzles that feature horizontal and vertical lines, as well as triangles and squares.  Finally, there’s a magnification game that has the covers of Curious George’s 8×8 size books.  This one is a fun challenge, since some of the covers show very little difference between them!!

Spring Calendar Set

I know this is a little late, but hopefully you will still be able to use it.  This is a spring calendar set.  Yes, spring “ends” at the end of May (since summer begins in June), but I just had to finish it and get it shared!!

This is the perfect set for spring with lots of pink, white and teal flowers.  I used a fresh spring-like font for the numbers and words.  The years go from 2012-2016, so you can get plenty of use from it.  I also included all 12 months for those that like spring all year long!!  It also includes the days of the week and the yesterday, today, and tomorrow cards.  Finally, there are 31 dates and lots of extras for the holidays that fall from March to May.

Kiss Me I’m Lucky Party Pack

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

I created a party pack to help everyone with their St. Patrick’s Day parties and celebrations.  If you haven’t found what you needed in the store, or planned a last minute get-together, hopefully you’ll find what you need here!!  I broke everything down by topic, so you can find just what you need….or you can get it all.

In the “goody bags & gift boxes”, there’s a large gift bag and a gable box.  Print 2 of each and assemble.

You’ll find salt & pepper boxes, a french fry box, a hamburger box, and a hot dog container in the “food” pack.  There’s also a popcorn box that you’ll need to print 2 of, then assemble.

For “party supplies”, you’ll find napkin rings, a silverware pocket, and a banner.  There’s also a party hat and glasses.

There are Chapstick boxes and a sucker package “for the kids & goody bags”, as well as a boomerang and tri-boomerang.  You can also find a door hanger and mini-bookmarks.  Finally, there is a crayon box for 8 crayons and a pencil box.

Seuss-icle Day 3: Dr. Seuss Writing Centers

For the third day of my “Seuss-icle Followers Contest” week, I have some writing sheets.  They’re not just writing though!!  They also include read, write, stamp, paste, and draw the titles of Dr. Seuss books.  Not all the skills on the same sheets for some variety.

ContestEnd-EnjoyFreebies byElaine

I shared a couple of these in my group and they were a huge hit with Dr. Seuss book titles and/or characters.  I also made a 3rd set that combines the skills on both of the other sets.  These are basically my version of a “write the room” for Seuss activity.  All sets will have “read”, “write”, and “draw”.  One will have “stamp”, one will have “paste” and the last will have “stamp and paste”.

The second item is another set of 2-part cards.  These are The Shape of Thing 1 and Thing 2.  Thing 1 has a shape and it’s matched to the shape world of Thing 2.  Both sets of card come with a storage envelope for the cards.

Waiting on Christmas

Are you ready for Christmas??  More than likely, the kids are!!  This is the perfect game to keep them busy while they wait for Christmas to get here.

Waiting on Christmas is a family game that will keep the kids busy at night or on weekends.  It could also be used in the classroom when work is completed or altered with the blank cards for a specific skill.

Players work their way around the board by rolling the die that’s provided.  Along the way, they may land on a present that could help….or hinder….them after they draw a card, read it aloud, and follow the directions on the card.  There are blank cards provided, so a skill could be added for practice during class.  Everything but the player tokens is provided with this file folder game.

Oh, and there’s a special area on the game board where the kids can write in how many days until Christmas with a dry erase marker (if the board is laminated or covered in clear contact paper/shelf liner).
