I’m very happy to say that I’m almost at 100 followers at my store on TPT!!
I’m so close in fact, that I’m just 2 followers away!! Can you believe it?? It’s been a long road and I’m happy with the way things have developed for me. It’s been a great learning process and I know that there’s more to come.
I have several things planned for when I do hit that big personal milestone. I’ll be holding a giveaway here on the blog. There will be 3 great prizes available!! I’ll also be uploading some new products to my store just for this, holding a sale in my store, and more!! Oh, one of the “more” things will be that I hold “flash freebies” for some of my products and you can find out when I set the up by following me on Facebook. You can do that if you click here.
So, stay tuned and if you love The Schoolhouse, let your friends and family know!!
Well, this is my first time linking up with “Currently”. I’ve seen them on other blogs, but never done it, so here goes my first time….
As you can tell, I’m obsessed with CSI right now. I’ve loved that show since day 1 and still do. Thank goodness I own the DVD’s so I’ll never really be without it. At least Grissom will be back, and Catherine too. Hoping that Nick and Brass both make an appearance to make it complete.
Are any of you fans too?? If so, what do you think will happen to reunite the cast?? I’m hoping for Sqweegel because it’s a weird case that was never solved.

The Year in Review and What’s Coming in 2015!!
Hello to all!!
This is my first ever note to you, my followers. I want to say thank you for following my store/shop. I especially want to let you know I appreciate anyone who has made a purchase in 2014 or helped spread the word about The Schoolhouse!!
I’ve learned so much in my first 6 months as a seller. I’d love to grow and expand The Schoolhouse. Part of that growing is making sure that I have products that you need and can use. Please feel free to contact me by using the ” Contact ‘The Schoolhouse’ ” button in the right hand column on this page. I do accept requests and will make adjustments to products if at all possible. I can’t always guarantee this, as it depends on what is needed. I’ll do my best though!!
What’s coming in 2015….
I hope that you’re looking forward to the New Year as much as I am. I want you to know that I appreciate all of you and I look forward to expanding The Schoolhouse with you!!
Tonight, my lesson is on the miracles of Jesus. I’m focusing on “Jesus Walks on Water” and “Jesus Calms the Storm”. I had a few activities in my books to do with the kids. I’m sure that they’ll like the variety.
These are just a few suggestions that I have to help enhance your lesson. After we read the story, we did this page. This is great for littles and has a lesson for one of these miracles. I’m a huge fan of Rainbow Publishers and have the book that these crafts come from. I was going to do one of them, until I came up with my own.
I wanted to do a special craft project with the kids though. I decided to do something versatile and fun. What I ended up making could be used with either miracle. I’m sharing the project with you in hopes that you all can use and enjoy it. I’ll be sure to let you know what my kids think of it too!!
What I plan on doing with the kids is to tear or cut shades of blue tissue paper. We’ll glue them down to blue or gray construction paper. While that dries, the kids will color the pieces of this craft (boat and Jesus) and cut them out. We’ll then glue them on top of the sea waves (tissue paper). With this printable, I’ve included some water waves that can be printed on cardstock if you don’t want to mess with cutting/tearing tissue paper and gluing it down.
Here’s a sample that I made to show the kids of how to assemble theirs tonight….
The clipart (boat, disciples and Jesus) was drawn by my husband, and I’m thankful for his talent to help me with my projects for the kids. Please remember that no part of this may be shared, sent via e-mail, or uploaded to any site. I’d appreciate if you’d link to this blog post….thank you!!
If you’d like to make this craft project, just click to….
If you use this project, please leave me a comment or use the “contact” button in the right hand column. I love to see what other’s do with my projects, so please share your completed craft so that I can see how they turned out!!
Today marks this blog being 2 years old. I can’t believe it’s been that long already!! I remember people thinking that I was crazy for starting another blog, but I really felt that all my printables needed to be separate from my daily life blog. I stand by that as I mark today’s blogoversary!!
I always like to give a few stats on an ocassion like this. It’s fun to see where the blog has come from, where it’s at, and where it’s going. So without further ado, here’s some stats for my 2nd blogoversary…..

I’ve decided to go with 2 previous printables that I created for today’s freebie. The first is The Colors of the Lorax’s Truffle Trees. Yes, I know they’re truffula trees, but I just happen to like truffle better and I went with it!! HAHA This is a set of 2-part cards where the color of the truffle (truffula) tree is matched to the Lorax’s color word.
The second item is another set of 2-part cards. These are The Shape of Thing 1 and Thing 2. Thing 1 has a shape and it’s matched to the shape world of Thing 2. Both sets of card come with a storage envelope for the cards.

For the first day of my blog and Facebook contest, I’ve chosen my printable to be based on the Dr. Seuss book, Bartholomew and the Oobleck. If you’re a current follower of my blog and/or Facebook, or a new one, please read the post at the top of the page (or by clicking the “home” tab) to learn how you can join in the contest and win a $10 gift certificate to TPT (Teacher Pay Teachers)!!
This is a set of 2-part cards featuring -oo- words. They come from various word families using the -oo- and some are long or short vowel sounds. The image of the -oo- word is matched to the -oo- word. See how fast and well they can be matched before the Oobleck gets you!!

Well, there’s a problem here at The Schoolhouse. I have files ready to be uploaded to 4Shared to share and post for my followers contest. However, 4Shared isn’t cooperating and I can’t upload a single file. I’ve tried via the web and desktop. So now I’m in a bind and I have nothing to share for my first day of the contest.
Please be patient and I’ll keep trying as the day goes on. I’ll even put them on a memory stick and try from my daughters computer. If nothing works, I’ll try each and every day and share more than one thing at a time if I have to. But mind you, there will be plenty of freebies one way or the other!!
Now, read that top post and follow my blog and/or Facebook page, then leave a comment for each way that you put the word out about the contest for your entry to win the TPT gift certificate!!
I’m having a Seuss-icle Followers Contest here on The Schoolhouse starting 25 February!! Please read on to learn how you can enter and win a great prize on 3 March!!
I’m trying very hard to get back into creating new educational and Christian printables and blogging about them to get them out there to the kids. The only way I can do that is to reach the parents, teachers, daycare providers, and those that work with or spend time with the children. To do this, I’m holding a special contest right here on The Schoolhouse to boost my followers!!
My goals are simple…..
How can you help….and win?? That’s the easy part!! To enter the contest from 25 February to 3 March, just choose one or all of these possible entries….
That’s up to 8 chances for you to enter your name into the drawing to win the prize!! You can find the “like” button to my Facebook page in the column on the right. What’s the prize you ask?? Well, it’s a $10 gift certificate to Teachers Pay Teachers and ONE name will be drawn from the comments (which I’ll number) and let Random.org choose. I’ll announce the winner at 8pm (CST) on 3 March.
I should add that everyday, or at least to the best of my abilities, I’ll be offering at least one Dr. Seuss themed printable. Some will be “old”, but there’s many that haven’t seen them and many will be newly created materials. So please, be sure to check back often to see what I’m sharing!!
Now’s the time….please grab, pin, post, or share the button below and help me get my printables out there to the kids…..and get entered for your chance to win that prize!!
Copy this code to add to your blog or site…..
