Snowy Night Alphabet Match

It’s time for a freebie!!  This one features a beautiful background with cute snowman and matching snowflakes.  Seems fitting for this time of the year!!

This game is Snowy Night Alphabet Match.  For this file folder game (ffg), the snowflakes with the slower case letters are matched to the snowmen with the upper case letters.  As the child becomes more proficient with matching them, you could use a timer to see how quickly they can make their matches.

Here’s a thumbnail view of of the game….

Shelf Elf Counting

We’re having so much fun with our Elf on the Shelf, that I just had to make another freebie for you all!!  I know I had plans to do more, but with everything going on, I just wasn’t sure I was going to get any done.

This game has several possibilities.  For this one, I left the elves blank and made numbers from 1-100 to place on the elves.  One shelf of elves can go up to 25, so if printed 2 per page, you could use it for counting to 100.  It can just be a matter of placing in numerical order or even skip counting.  There’s a variety of ways that these little shelf elves can be used for number games!!

Here’s a thumbnail view of what this game looks like….

Shelf Elf Alphabetical Order Fill-In

It’s time for a Christmas freebie printable!!  This is the first year that my family has done the Elf on the Shelf and we’re having a great time with it.  Even though my daughter is a teen, she’s playing along and looks for him every morning.  How many of you have an Elf on the Shelf at home or in the classroom??

Well, I decided to create a couple printables for this cute little character.  This is just one of what I’m hoping will be at least a couple more.  This one was a complete thought and I was able to finish it up between the hectic holiday schedule!!

For this game, the directions say that the elves have lost their space on the shelves.  In order for them to get their spot back, they must be placed in alphabetical order by filling in the blanks between the elves already sitting on the shelf.  So the elves fit on the shelves better, I’d recommend cutting them out instead of the whole boxes.  For little hands, cutting the whole box might be more convenient.

Here’s a thumbnail view of what this game looks like….

Baby Bubble Shapes

Today, I have another game from the depths of my files!! I was so happy when I found this one and the previous one because I remember when I made this one and how much I loved these adorable little tub babies!!

For this file folder game, shapes filled with tub babies and bath items are matched to shapes floating in the bubbles on the game board.  This one will take some ink because I put the background behind the objects as well as the shapes so that when the game board is filled in with all the proper shapes, it also fills in the missing spaces and fills in the bubbles.  I don’t know if that makes sense or not!!  HAHA

Here’s a thumbnail view of of this game….

Babies, Bubbles, Quacks, and Shapes

Today, I have something from the depths of my files!!  This one is what could be considered a “classic” in the printables world.  I was so happy when I found it because I remember when I made this one and how much I loved these adorable little tub babies!!

For this file folder game, each baby in a tub has a shape on it.  The shape word that’s on the rubber ducky is matched up to the baby in the tub that it belongs to.  I also added the shape words of rhombus and ellipse for those that don’t use diamond or oval.

Mayflower Scramble

Here’s a brand new Thanksgiving activity!!  This one is for Language Arts/English skills.

For this activity, the user will unscramble the letters on the sails of the Mayflower.  All words will be CVCC or CCVC and a clue is given on each boat.  As they unscramble the words, they can record their answers on the worksheet.  This printable also includes an answer key.

Layers and Animals of the Rainforest

We had a “challenge” in my group for the rainforest theme.  I created this file folder game (ffg) for my members.  Players will label the 4 layers of the rainforest.  They will also sort animals into the 4 layers where they spend most of their time.  I wasn’t able to create a worksheet to accompany the game, but an answer key for the ffg is provided.

Meep!!

I had a request in my group for some printable activities for Beaker.  Beaker is one of the Muppets and he’s most seen in the science lab with Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.  He always says “MEEP”!!

The things that I created for Beaker are pretty standard.  There’s a set of 4 9-piece jigsaw puzzles.  I also made a set of “label the color” cards.  Finally, there’s a Beaker tic-tac-toe game with a couple options for the tokens to play with.

Here’s a thumbnail of some of the pages….

Counting Apples

Since this month starts fall/autumn and I had a request in my group, I decided to get a jump on it and start making things to share.  The request was for some counting mats with apples.

I’ve come up with Counting Apples for the Apple Tree and I went with the number word on the tree and the numeral on the basket.  That number of apples will be placed on the mat.  This activity will work on a couple of skills for little ones.  These mats are for counting 0-25.

Around the Pirate Ship

I have another pirate game for you, mateys!!

This one is Around the Pirate Ship and it’s a file folder game (ffg) for adding or subtracting to 10.  Players start on the space and then add or subtract to get the sum to finish the problem.  To do so, they’ll place an addition or subtraction sign in the black spot on the game board.  1 or more players can play and there’s optional treasure chest tokens to keep track of how many signs were placed correctly.

Mr. Potato Head

Today, I have lots of printables for home or the classroom featuring Mr. Potato Head.  There’s even a few Mrs. thrown in with it!!

First up, there’s a set of 5×7 posters.  These include money, upper/lower case letters, numeral/number word, and colors.

There’s one set of flashcards for days of the week and months of the year.  Mr. Potato Head’s face is used for a set of “label the color” cards.  Mr. Potato Head as Superman and Mrs. Potato Head as Wonder Woman are a set of shape matching cards with a storage box.  These are matching the shape to the shape word.  Finally for the cards, there’s a set of alphabet clothespin cards to match the lower case letter to the upper case letter that Mr. Potato Head is holding.

You’ll also find a set of banners featuring Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.  These could be used for a themed party or to decorate your classroom!!  To go along with that, there’s a large set of bingo cards featuring Mr. Potato Head (and a few Mrs. Potato Head) dressed in fun ways.

Lastly, there’s a set of memory cards that I previously shared in another post.  These feature Mr. Potato Head wearing the gear of each of the NFL football teams.  However, there are 2 teams missing as he wasn’t available that way or there’s no images available.

Mr. (and Mrs.) Potato Head © Hasbro.  Images from internet sources and believed to be public domain.
