Exclusive: Compound Hot Dogs

Ever so often, I plan to have an “exclusive” that I haven’t shared anyplace else!!  The main place that I share are my own Y!Groups or other ones that I’m a member of.  These “exclusives” won’t even be seen there!!

This stemmed from and idea that I had for my Y!Group, but I didn’t get it done on time.  Our theme was “hot dogs” and I knew I wanted something fun and unusual.  This is what I came up with!!  It’s a game for compound words, called Compound Hot Dogs

Each place setting card will have the image of a compound word.  The player will have to find the hot dog and hot dog bun with the 2 words that make up that compound word and place them on the plate.  This is a large set, but you only need to use as many as needed or the level of words that’s being worked on.  There’s also a worksheet to complete during or after the game….and the answer key!!

Here’s a collage sample of some of the pages….

If you’re interested in “compound hot dogs”, please just…..

Please note that you will need BOTH parts of this, or you won’t have the complete game.  Either download is incomplete without the other!!

If you’re a hot dog lover, in need of compound word activies, or just going use this game for your homeschool, classroom, or other location, please leave a comment and let me know how you and the kids like it. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog (as well as in the side bar under “vote or rate The Schoolhouse”).
