It’s a Grand Opening!

I haven’t quite kept up with my one post a month goal, but I’m close!  HAHA  I’ve been quite busy with work….and life.  It’s all good though.  How were your holidays?  How is the start to the new year going?  I have no complaints.  Just so much to do on all fronts.  I think most people are like that right now.  How about the price of eggs?  HA!  I do hope that you’re all doing well.

So one of the things that I’ve been working on is expanding into the other marketplaces.  I had started on it previously, but I’ve fully gotten into it.  I want you all to be able to find me on multiple places.  I know that some enjoy shopping in certain marketplaces and some enjoy others.  I still don’t have everything in the other marketplaces, but I’m making some good progress.  Along with me expanding, many other sellers are as well.  We decided to get together and do a Grand Opening Sale.  I’m really excited about this!

There’s so many special days coming up that you can hopefully find resources for.  Ash Wednesday is 22 February, which also makes it the first day of Lent.  Easter will be 9 April with Holy Week leading up to that.  There’s also Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring, and other important dates coming up.  I have materials for all these in my shops!

Teal grand opening sale with banner flags and 20% off text with logo

One of the places that I’ve expanded is to reopen my shop on Etsy.  I have very few resources listed there yet.  I’m just getting my feet wet again.  I’m really out of the loop there and trying to see what will or won’t do well.  I’m also working on getting more materials on Made by Teachers and Classful.  I’ve gone into other marketplaces, some are, but some aren’t part of this sale.  I’ll tell you about those another time.  Anyway, back to the Grand Opening Sale!

Let me give you the details.  The Grand Opening Sale will be 12-14 February.  Everything at The Treasured Schoolhouse will be 20% off.  Here’s where you can shop….

Made by Teachers:  20% off (with an extra 5% off 12-13 February from them)

Classful:  20% off with coupon code GRAND20 applied at checkout

Etsy:  20% off

Teacher Professional Development (TPD):  20% off with coupon code GRAND20

TES:  20% off

As you can see if you got to any of my storefronts, they each have a different number of materials in them.  I’m working on getting a little bit of everything up so that there’s a variety.  My true goal is to get everything on all of them!  HA!  As always, if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.  I can get something uploaded to the marketplace of your choice, or if you have a request, I can see if I can create it for you in a timely manner.

Happy Shopping!

I Am Special Activity

Last year, I did a really fun activity with my kids. They loved it then and they really loved it again this year. So, I just had to share!!

In the big open space, they draw a picture of themselves. They need to see what makes them special like the color of their hair, skin, eyes, and so on. Of course, they’re little ones, so they’re far from perfect, but they sure are fun!!

There’s also an area to put stickers down with their name on them or glue letters down. There’s also a blank line for them to write their names. On the side, there’s a cute poem about being unique. Finally, on the side, they can also put their fingerprint under the magnifying glass. Why??  Because each of us has a fingerprint that is unique to only us!!  To do this part, we just used an ink pad.

If you’re interested in this activity page, just click to….

Here are some photos my kids in action with this page this year.  You’ll notice that I forgot my stickers at home, so we made due and used letter beads!!

If you use this page, please leave a comment and let me know if your kids enjoyed it as much as mine did!!

I’m in Business!!

As many of you know, I’ve been considering opening a store to sell my printables in. This isn’t an easy decision for me. I had to put a lot of thought and prayer into it. I wanted to do what’s right for my friends, followers, and readers. I also have to do what’s best for my family.

My ultimate decision is to open a store to sell my printable materials in. I’ve opened an Etsy shop, and also a shop on Teachers Notebook.

I want to assure you that I’ll continue to post freebies on my blog and Facebook. I’m not trying to get rich, but merely help add some income to my family. Giving and sharing my printables is just what comes naturally to me. It’s what I truly love to do and will continue to do.

I hope that all of you will keep following me on this blog and on Facebook. It’s also my hope that you’ll check out my stops. I’ve tried to keep my prices down, so hopefully you’ll find something that you can use. I’d also appreciate it if you’d spread the word to anyone that you know that might be looking for educational or Christian printables for home or school.

Please check out my stores and be sure to follow them so you know when I upload new products, have sales, and so on!!  You’ll also be able to access the shops at any time by clicking the buttons in my right hand column.

Remember, I fully plan on keeping this blog going.  I’ll be posting freebies here as often as I can.  I’m not on a schedule as it is, but they’ll be posted as often as possible.  One of the only changes will be that some of the freebies I post will be available for a limited amount of time, but very few of them.  Also, some of my older ones will be expired so that I can move them into my shops.  But please know this will only be a few of them and all the rest will continue as usual!!

Please click here to vote for my blog….thanks!!

Graphing and Tallying the Nativity

Today is the 11th post of Nativity A Day and it’s moving right along.  I actually made this one during some free time last night, but by the time it was done, I was too tired to actually post it!!

Today’s Nativity A Day freebie is a set of graphing worksheets.  For the first one, there are different elements from the nativity on a chart and they will need to right down the points where each element is.  I provided an answer key for this so that they can self-check if desired.

The next two activities require a the die that elements of the nativity on it.  Each time it’s rolled, they will either tally or color in the chart for which element it lands on.  There’s no answer key for the graphing or tallying because answers will vary each time.

Magnify the Nativity

Today is the 9th installment of Nativity A Day here on my blogs and I seem to be chugging right along with them.  I’m having lots of fun constantly coming up with ideas or going to my notes for ideas that I had for this nativity challenge of mine.

Today’s Nativity A Day freebie is a magnification game.  This time, I didn’t make the miniature images super tiny because I wanted it to be for a couple age/grade ranges.  Although my background is very dark, the miniature have large white boxes framing them so there’s no confusion.  My daughter was actually having fun with this one as I was making it trying to figure out which figure was which….without a magnifying glass!!  HAHA  So, I hope you and your kids like it just as much and fully enjoy it!!

Here’s a look the parts of this magnification activity…
