I’m back today with another FREEBIE offering for Christmas!!  Yes, I’m on a roll.  I don’t know what happened, but I’m glad it happened.  HAHA  I had such a dry spell and now I’m ready to go and have plenty of ideas….now I just need the time!!

Today, I have some adorable gingers to offer in the form of a math mat!!  This mat can be used for addition, subtraction, greater than, equal to, and less than.  All that has to be done is to put the proper symbol on the mat, then add the gingerbread man tokens to each cookie sheet.  Just like that, a math problem/equation is made!!

Also, there’s 2 worksheets to accompany the math mat.  They can be used with the math mat or on their own.  There’s one worksheet for addition-subtraction and the other one is for greater-less than-equal to.

Christmas Candy Word Wall Cards

Today’s freebie was a request that I received.  This person needed a set of Christmas word wall cards for her classroom.  When I asked her with words she needed, she asked if it would be possible to leave them blank so that she can put in the words that she needs.

I did just that!!  This is a set of blank editable word wall cards.  There are 2 sets and both have a Christmas candy frame.  You just type in the words that you need and print, or print blank and write them in yourself.

Who Stole Santa’s Elf?

This is a card game for getting acquainted or just having fun at home, in the classroom, or even at a party!!

The game can be played with 2 or more players.  The more players, the more sets of cards that will need to be printed.  You can also print more than one set for 2 players to make the game last longer.

Players are dealt the cards and they’re placed in a row face down in front of them.  The game is played to the chant of “Who Stole the Cookie?” and has the same basis.  If the player doesn’t have Santa’s Elf, they say “NOT ME” and play continues on, one player at a time.  If they do flip it over, they say “IT’S ME” and the game ends, unless more than one set of cards is used…..then play continues until the last Santa’s Elf has been flipped over.

This idea is not my own.  I got the inspiration from Super Silly Songs and their “Who Took the Cookie?” activity.  Please be sure to check out their printable activity and stay tuned for me to create another version similar to this one!!

Waiting on Christmas

Are you ready for Christmas??  More than likely, the kids are!!  This is the perfect game to keep them busy while they wait for Christmas to get here.

Waiting on Christmas is a family game that will keep the kids busy at night or on weekends.  It could also be used in the classroom when work is completed or altered with the blank cards for a specific skill.

Players work their way around the board by rolling the die that’s provided.  Along the way, they may land on a present that could help….or hinder….them after they draw a card, read it aloud, and follow the directions on the card.  There are blank cards provided, so a skill could be added for practice during class.  Everything but the player tokens is provided with this file folder game.

Oh, and there’s a special area on the game board where the kids can write in how many days until Christmas with a dry erase marker (if the board is laminated or covered in clear contact paper/shelf liner).

C is for Cookie Monster

A few weeks ago, my group had the theme of Cookie Monster.  I started some alphabet memory cards, but never got them finished.  I ended up not sharing anything for that theme because my creative juices weren’t working.  Well tonight, that changed!!

I not only finished the alphabet matching/memory cards, but I also created 3 additional items for Cookie Monster.  He’s such a fun character to work with!!  So what did I make??  First, there’s the alphabet matching/memory cards.  They will match the upper case letter with Cookie Monster to the lower case letter on the cookie.  I have to warn you that this font was a little funky and some of the letters don’t look quite right or are harder to identify like the lower case “j”.

I also made Cookie Monster Tic-Tac-Toe and I’m really happy with the way this turned out.  The game board is a Cookie Monster background and the tokens are 2 different cookies.  Next, there’s a set of Cookie Monster Label the Color Cards.  I’ve shared similar to these before.  Cookie Monster’s adorable face is imposed on different colors and they must label each with the correct color.

Finally, I made Counting Cookies with Cookie Monster.  This is a set of 3-part cards.  They will match the number of cookies, the number word, and the numeral that Cookie Monster has.  I did these with numbers 0-20 so that you can expand what you use with the kids as they progress.  I wanted to do to 25, but I just didn’t quite make the cards big enough or the cookies would have had to be tiny.

Here’s a peek at some of the pages….

If you’re interested these Cookie Monster materials, please just…..

An Update

Please go to this post at my family blog to find out why I’ve been missing in action and not posting as many free printables as usual.  I figured it would be easier to link up there than to try to type it all out again.

Because of the crazy week I had, I wasn’t able to get my Letter of the Week materials created or updated.  If at all possible, I’m going to work on it this weekend, but time will tell.  As soon as things smooth out, I promise to get back to creating and sharing.

Thanks for standing by and continuing to follow along.  I appreciate you being here and waiting for new new printable!!

Letter of the Week: Ww

I know I haven’t been posting much for you all lately.  Things are busy around the house and I just feel like I can’t keep up right now.  I haven’t even made new printables for my groups, but I’m at least sharing things from my files.  So, having nothing new, here’s a new Letter of the Week.

The current Letter of the Week is Ww.  The new writing practice is in both fonts with the words well and wand.  The magnet sheets use the words web and watermelon.

Here’s a thumbnail collage of what I newly added to Letter of the Week…..

You’ll also find the letter Ww folder contains the printables that I previously made for Letter of the Week. You’ll find the My Letter Ww Book , as well as writing practice sheets and (Play-Doh) mats in both fonts. Finally, there’s a set of Ww letter tile mats, which currently aren’t available. I still need to update with the word list, so please check back to this post and check for an update on the status of the letter tile mats.  (I also never got the letter Cc letter tile mats updated, so I’ll work on doing both of these in next couple of days.)

To download the Letter of the Week printables, just…..

As always, I appreciate your comments and feedback on the materials that I create. In case some of you might not be aware yet, I’ve created a Facebook page and I’d be grateful if you “liked” me!! Also, I’d love it if you’d vote for my blog by clicking the button below….thanks!!

New Blog Look

I know it seems like I disappeared without a word, and I apologize.  Things got really busy around here.  On top of that, I was fighting a cold and it ended up getting the best of me.  I’m very much on the mend and feeling really good.  Things are just still busy and I’m playing catch-up now.

I realize that I’m behind on my “letter of the week” posts.  That’s alright though because they’ll just go longer this way!!  There will be one posted on Monday like usual.  I also had more Halloween items to post and never got to it and I didn’t even share them in my groups.  Guess I have a head start on next year!!

I’m sure you can see by looking at my blog that it has a new look.  I’m really happy with how it’s looking right now.  I think it looks so much more like I’ve always wanted it.  I made the header myself!!  I hope that you enjoy the new format of the blog and really like the way it looks while you’re visiting.

Well, I think that about covers it!!  If time permits, I’ll have something over the weekend, and if not, I’ll be back Monday with “letter of the week”.  Take care until then!!
