It was time for change and improvements, so here it is!! This is my new blog and this is where you can find me from now on. You’ll find everything that you used to find at The Schoolhouse, but now it’s here and it’s called The Treasured Schoolhouse.
The main upgrade or change was that I’m no hosting on my own domain. No more down time or other issues!! I didn’t even change the design of the blog so that everyone can still recognize it. Besides, I like the simple design.
I don’t have a blog button yet, but it’s being made for me now. It’ll be here soon!! I’m excited about all the changes and the possible growth.

This month’s Favorite Things is all about the grade that you teach. I teach 4 & 5 year olds, which is usually PreK – Kindergarten. They’re the ones that nobody really wanted, but I do so love them!!
Here’s my Favorite Things about my littles….
I really wouldn’t trade my littles for anything!! They’re quite the crew each year and they keep me on my toes. I just love it when they come back and I get to see the changes in them. I do love being their first experience with many things!!

I don’t typically make resolutions. I just don’t do it and for the most part, I don’t follow through. I’m pretty good at setting goals though and working toward them. So, when I saw this linky, I was looking forward to joining up because I know these are a few of the things that I know I need to work on. My favorite saying and what keeps me striving for more and knowing that making mistakes is alright (and I hope that those around me “get it”)….

I have something special, just for you my readers. I wanted to give you a present this year for following along and putting up with my sporadic posts and everything else!!
This is a 4-page coloring book for the nativity. It focuses on Luke 2 and Matthew 2. It’s just a small book….well, it’s more like pages, to tell the real story of Christmas. The focus of these pages are geared toward Catholic, as I used the New American Standard Bible (NASB). Any faith surely can use it though!!

Here’s just….
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love nativities!! I have them in sizes from small to large. I don’t have any giant ones though!! Some of my small ones are just the holy family. Some of my big ones have several shepherds, the wise men, and the drummer boy. I love all of them. This is my favorite one….
One reason that I love this one is that it’s like a children’s play. Another reason is the quality of the pieces. Can you believe that the stable isn’t actually part of the set?? HAHA It’s a piece that I got someplace else and thought they worked together perfectly. What really sets this nativity though is what it sits on. It’s actually a tree skirt, but not just any tree skirt. My mom made it. She didn’t just make it, but she won 1st PLACE in a contest with it. I’m so proud of her and I’m honored that she entrusted such a beautiful made-with-love project to me. It’s the perfect addition to this nativity!!
