Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow for August

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow at The Schoolhouse

Today, I’d like to introduce a new linky to you. It’s called “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow”. I plan on this being a way to remind you of past products, show you what’s new, and what will be coming soon. By having it be a link-up, you’ll be able to check out more great products by other teacher authors.  If you’d like to join in, please read this first, and then feel free to link-up below.

Here’s my first “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow”….

YesterdayTodayTomorrow byElaine-August.j1

When I typed this up, I got it wrong under “yesterday”.  The new cover version is on the left and the old one is on the right.  If you’d like to check out any of these products, you can click here to be taken to The Schoolhouse on TPT.

If you’d like to link-up, you can find out more information about this linky and the template if you click here.  If you’d like to join in, please read this first, and then feel free to link-up below.

EDIT:  You MUST link to a blog post (or social media that has a permanent link).  Please do NOT link to a product in your store.  There is a link to the “rules” for this linky above in the blog post.  Thank you for your understanding!!

Product Updates

Hello again!!

I know, my posts are few and far between. I try so hard, but blogging is just something that I’m not good at keeping up with. I’ll continue to try and I will get better as I get some balance.

I want to tell you about some new products in my stores.  Some educational materials….

AntsOnPicnicNumberMats byTheSchoolhouse SAMPLE1
Simple counting mats for 0-20 using an ant toy or the ones included.
SpringTimeFFG byTheSchoolhouse SAMPLE1
I also did a version of this called “Winter Time”. It’s a simple game to tell time to 5 minutes. Has extra time cards and movement/action cards.
SeasaonlWritingPrompts byElaineG 1SAMPLE
These seasonal prompts are available in 2 styles for each of the 4 seasons for a variety of ages/grades. They will write and draw on each page!

Christian products….

MyAngelClothespinCountingCards0-10 byTheSchoolhouse SAMPLE1
Clip cards for matching the numerals 0-10 to the number word.
TheFamilyTreeOfJacob chart&worksheet byTheSchoolhouse 1SAMPLE
There is a color and b&w version of this chart and the characters to add to the chart for the family tree of Jacob. It also includes a worksheet and answer keys.

And finally, my growing font collection….

OKieFontCollection1 SAMPLE-3
This is a set of 12 fonts, but it is a “growing” collection. That means that as I create new fonts, they’ll be added to the collection. Grab it now though because as fonts are added, the price will increase!

If you’re interested in any of these, you can visit either of my stores and select the view as “most recent”.  Visit “The Schoolhouse” at TPT if you click here and at TN if you click here.

Update and an Easter Sale!

I know that I haven’t blogged in forever. I truly do apologize for that!!  When life gets busy, I tend to give up blogging to allow for making time for other things.  I honestly will make an effort to blog more and keep you all updated on what’s going on.

I have a few things planned for the month of April, so be sure to keep an eye out here and follow my stores.  I just sent a note out to followers on TPT, so if you follow me there, you’ll see just a couple of upcoming events at The Schoolhouse.  The first thing is….

EasterSale1 FINAL

All of my Christian materials will be on sale for 15% off the entire Easter weekend.  The sale will run from 3 April to 6 April, so you’ll have plenty of time to stock up on those religious printables that you’ve had your eyes on!!  Also, as I always do with sales, I’ll be adding at least 1 new product during the sale.  Since this sale is on Christian items, that’s probably what I’ll be adding this weekend.

You can find this sale at….

40 Days of Lent

I know this is rather last minute, but I have a free printable for you to use at home or in your classroom for Lent.

I’m calling this a color-by-number, but it’s not really that.  LOL  Once space is colored in for each day of Lent.  Certain spaces are specific colors.  When completed at the end of Lent, it’ll be a picture that represents Lent/Easter.  There is a key so that you know what color each space should be colored.

If you’re interested in downloading this, please just click the cover image above!!

Ash Wednesday Fun and Learning

Last night’s lesson was all about Ash Wednesday and how it’s the first day of Lent.  Advent and Lent are always interesting concepts to teach the kids when it’s all about “waiting” and “preparing”.  At their age, they’re just ready for Santa and the Easter Bunny.  They soak up the information like sponges!!

Ash Wednesday Craftivity cover

After our discussion about Lent, we focused on Ash Wednesday and did this activity page.  Since we attend mass as part of class on Ash Wednesday, it’s important the kids know all about the ashes so they know what to expect.  After that, we practiced for mass….several times!!  Our final activity was a little craft that I made for the kids.  They colored the pictures to look like themselves and then we took black paint and put a cross on the foreheads with their thumb.

If you’re interested in this, just click to….

To see the a few of the final projects, just click here and click here to see how my class did them on Instagram.  You don’t have to have an account and it’s worth it because they’re just adorable for being 3-5 years old!!

The Good Shepherd

Last week, we worked on The Good Shepherd in my religion class.  I enjoy teaching this one to the kids to help them understand how loved we are.  We are protected by his love and his son, Jesus, died for us.

GoodShepherdSheepMatch worksheet&coloringpage byElaineG SAMPLE

I made 2 things for my class to use.  The first is a worksheet.  It’s to match Jesus and his sheep to a sheep on the page.  A line is drawn to match the 2 and then colored to match each other.  The next item is a coloring page.  It’s Jesus among the sheep with the verse from John 10:11 (NAS).

If you’re interested in these activities, just click to….

You can click here and here to see my kids hard at work on their sheets.  My class really enjoyed these activities and I hope that you’rs do too!!  Please be sure to leave me a comment about what your kids did with these pages and if they liked them….thanks!!

Clipart has Arrived at The Schoolhouse

Well, I told you that I hoped to be adding a clipart line to The Schoolhouse and that’s happened!!

ArmorOfGod PREVIEW byTheIllustrated Schoolhouse1

This first set is for the Armor of God.  They’re in PNG format, so they have transparent backgrounds.  It includes the color and black & white versions.  There’s a total of 16 pieces.  They can be layered to dress the boy and girl in the full Armor of God.  You can get them for $4.

I wish I could take credit for these great pieces, but my husband is the artist.  He drew them on paper and then we scanned them into the computer.  I colored them and formatted them.  We hope you’ll go by The Schoolhouse at TPT or TN to check them out!!

A Note to My Followers

The Year in Review and What’s Coming in 2015!!

image not found icon

Hello to all!!

This is my first ever note to you, my followers.  I want to say thank you for following my store/shop.  I especially want to let you know I appreciate anyone who has made a purchase in 2014 or helped spread the word about The Schoolhouse!!

I’ve learned so much in my first 6 months as a seller.  I’d love to grow and expand The Schoolhouse.  Part of that growing is making sure that I have products that you need and can use.  Please feel free to contact me by using the ” Contact ‘The Schoolhouse’ ” button in the right hand column on this page.  I do accept requests and will make adjustments to products if at all possible.  I can’t always guarantee this, as it depends on what is needed.  I’ll do my best though!!

What’s coming in 2015….

  • All new products over $3.00 will be 25% off for the first 48 hours.
  • One freebie a month will be posted either in my store or on my blog.  Found out that this wasn’t the best business practice.  That said, I’d love to have more, here on my site for all you loyal readers.
  • At least one new Christian product will be added to the store each month.
  • Expanding into selling clipart drawn by my husband and possibly fonts with easy to use TOU.  We decided it would be better to have some clipart exclusive to me since there’s not much other out there in choices.

I hope that you’re looking forward to the New Year as much as I am.  I want you to know that I appreciate all of you and I look forward to expanding The Schoolhouse with you!!
