My First Give-Away!!

I’m so excited to announce that my blog is hosting its first ever give-away!!  This give-away is sponsored by Amanda of A-Manda Creation .  She’s provided the “grand prize”, which is a $10 gift certificate to her store!!  Amanda also provided the kit, Time to Rhyme,  used to make the FREE printables for this give-away strictly as a promotion.  The kit that she let me use is Dr. Seuss based.  Her kits are personal use ONLY!!  She’s a wonderful and friendly lady to work with and I’m so honored that she’s letting me host this give-away featuring one of her products, as well as the “grand prize”.

Every person that enters will receive their choice from 1 of 3 FREE educational printables that I’ve made just for this event.  At the end of the give-away, I will draw a random number (based on how many comments/entries there are) and that person will receive the $10 gift certificate to A-Manda Creation.  The drawing for the winner will be held 29 September at 12pm (CST) and the winner will be announced via blog post at that time.

The 3 FREE educational printables available using the Time to Rhyme kit are:

1.  Time to Rhyme Counting 0-20 2-Part Cards

2.  Time to Rhyme Pre-Writing Practice

3.  Time to Rhyme board game (generic to add your own skill)

Here’s a thumbnail view of just some of the pages of the printables….

There are 4 possible ways to enter.  You may enter one, or all 4 methods.  For each entry, you must leave me a comment with your NAME, E-MAIL (must enter with the same one for each entry), WEB SITE/BLOG (if your have one), and which entry method your registering with.  For your first entry, be sure to state which free printable you choose to receive and I will e-mail it to the address that you enter the drawing with.  If you only want to receive your choice of the FREE printables, simply leave me a comment and state which printable you would like to receive and note that you don’t choose to enter the drawing.

Bible Showdown

I decided to go back to my creative “roots” today.  As some of you know, I got my start making games by creating Christian/religious games.  Sadly, I haven’t shared any since I started the new blog just for my printables.

The game that I’m sharing today is “Bible Showdown” and 2 player or teams play this one head to head.  This game was made in 2008 and I’ve never changed it because I was always really happy with how it turned out.  The 2 players or teams move around the board if they “know the verse” and “know the Bible”.  This game is definitely for the older crowd.  You can adjust it to suit your needs by making your own cards.

Here’s a collage sample of some of the parts of this game….

If you’re interested in Bible Showdown, please just…..

Please be sure to download ALL 3 parts of this game.  If you don’t, you won’t have the complete game!!  I’ve updated this game, so it’s just one big file now and although it might take some time to download, it should be easier to manage.

If you’re going use these games for your homeschool, classroom, or other location, please leave a comment and let me know how you and the kids like it. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below (as well as in the side bar under “vote or rate The Schoolhouse”).

Don’t Forget Your Manners

I recently had Forgetful Jones from Sesame Street as a “theme” in my group to celebrate his birthday.  Since he forgot everything, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to create a game to teach and re-enforce manners.  This is a complete game with game board, cover, directions, tab label, and question cards.  There’s also a couple blank cards to add your own situation, question, or skill to enforce this topic.

Here’s a sample of some of the pages from this game….

If you’re interested in this Forgetful Jones manners game, please just…..

**PLEASE NOTE:  Forgetful Jones character © Jim Hanson and Sesame Workshop – I in no way lay claim to ownership of the character, images, books, or anything else pertaining to Forgetful Jones or Sesame Street.  This printable is for educational purposes only!!**

If you’re a Forgetful Jones or Sesame Street fan….or going use this games for your homeschool, classroom, or other location, please leave a comment and let me know how you and the kids like it. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the buttons below (as well as in the side bar under “vote or rate The Schoolhouse”).
