Patriotic Calendar and Desk Sets

It’s almost time to go “back to school”, so this week, I’ll be creating and sharing things to use in the classroom (or at home) as we all head back in that direction.  Most will be calendar sets in a variety of color themes, but if time permits, I’ll also be making some other materials.

I call this first set patriotic because I used a red, white, and blue background.  It’s a great background with all the patriotic colors in a fun swirl.

The calendar set includes dates 1-31 with extras like “no school”, “birthday”, and a couple of others.  There’s also a set of numerals for 32-100 for those that use your calendars as a 100’s chart.  There’s also all 12 months of the year, as well as years from 2012 to 2017, so you can use this set for years to come!!  Finally, there’s a set of days to use on their own or use with the yesterday was, today is, and tomorrow will be cards.

In the desk set is a set of cubbie tags and desk plates.  Both include a blank for you to use as needed.  There’s also a 1-100 counting chart.  I also made a set of “home tags” which list several methods that the children go home.  These can be attached to the desk, used as a neck tag, or attached to the backpack.  Had my daughters teacher used these in 1st grade, I wouldn’t have had to be panicked when my daughter didn’t get off the bus!!  Finally, there’s some incentive sheets.  These are larger in size and can be used for behavior, reading, returning homework, or a number of other things.

Here’s a thumbnail view of what the calendar set looks like….

NOTE:  Some of these files are very large in size.  I apologize if they download slow.  I’m not sure why they’re so large when there’s no graphics and only a background.

If you use these printables, have any requests, or just want to let me know how you used them, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below to vote for my blog. (You can vote ONCE a day!!) I love feedback and I truly create by the input that I receive….thanks!!

Back to School Teacher Aids

We went back to homeschool on Monday.  To “celebrate”, I’m offering some back to school printables that I created last year.  The first things that I posted was a back to school calendar set.  Today, I’m offering some back to school teacher aids.  All graphics used © Scrappin’ Doodles with permission.

First off, there’s some cubby tags.  There’s also a set of nameplates in various styles for the desk, locker, or wherever needed.

There’s 2 varieties of incentive items as well.  There are incentive cards, which are small in size.  Also, there’s sheets, which are about the size of half a sheet of paper (maybe a little smaller).  These can be used for reading books, writing for the day, behavior or other classroom activities.

Finally, there’s a set of “home tags”.  These are to identify the method that each child gets home.  The options include bus, sibling, walk, parent, other and another choice.  The tags can be attached to backpacks, jackets, attached to the desk/table, or any location that suits the user best.  These were created for very personal reasons and I think no classroom should be without them!!

Here’s a collage sample of some of the pieces in the teacher aids….

If you’re interested in these back to school teacher aids, please just…..

One final note on these teacher’s aid printables.  Many of the items can be edited with the kids names and printed that way.  If they have lines, then they need to have the names written on them.  However, if they’re just a blank area, you can write or type the name in the form fields.

If you’re going to use these back to school aids for your homeschool, classroom, or other location for back to school (or anytime during the school year), please leave a comment and let me know how you and the kids like it. I’d also appreciate it if you’d click the button below (as well as in the side bar under “vote or rate The Schoolhouse”).
