Winnie the Pooh

In my group, we recently did an author study of A. A. Milne, which meant doing all things Pooh!!  I felt really creative with Winnie the Pooh and I made several items to go along with this theme.  And if you love Pooh, you of course, have to love all his friends too!!

Included in this Winnie the Pooh & Friends folder are “Pooh & Friends Letter Tile Mats”.  Kids can spell out each of the characters names.  There’s also some “Winnie the Pooh & Friends Cards” and a storage box.  These can be used for concentration, Go Fish, or even Old Maid as there’s an extra card to be the “Old Maid”.  You’ll also find a variety of Winnie the Pooh shape jigsaw puzzles.  These are great for any age and so fun with all of the favorite characters!!

I also made a board game or file folder game (ffg) called “Hundred Acre Wood”.  This one features Pooh & Friends in scenes on the game board with hunny pot spaces to add your own skill.  Can also just be played on family game night!!  This is a compete game with a die, player tokens, and blank cards with optional card backs.

You’ll find some “Winnie the Pooh & Friends Copy-a-Picture”.  What a fun way to work on art skills!!  After the picture is copied, it can be colored for added fun.  There’s some “Winnie the Pooh & Friends Complete the Pattern”.  These strips are in AB, ABC, AAB, ABB, AABC, ABBC, and ABCC patterns.  Finally, I’ve made “Pooh’s Hunny Pot Shape 2-Part Cards”.  Pooh is looking in his cabinet for his shape hunny pots and the shape word in the cabinet has to be matched to the shape hunny pot!!

Here’s a collage sample of some of the materials in this folder….

Don’t Forget Your Manners

I recently had Forgetful Jones from Sesame Street as a “theme” in my group to celebrate his birthday.  Since he forgot everything, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to create a game to teach and re-enforce manners.  This is a complete game with game board, cover, directions, tab label, and question cards.  There’s also a couple blank cards to add your own situation, question, or skill to enforce this topic.

Here’s a sample of some of the pages from this game….

Say Cheese!

This is a file folder game (ffg) or mat is for beginning “ch” blend in words.  This ffg in includes a playing mat, word cards, worksheet, cover/directions, word picture, and a tab label.  The player will place a “ch” blend word, such as cheese, on the mat and then match it up to the corresponding picture.  There’s a worksheet that may be completed during or after play.

This is just a fun way to practice phonics and word recognition!

Here’s a sample collage of some of the pages….
