Treasured Points

I’m excited to tell you all about a new program that I’ve implemented at The Treasured Schoolhouse Shop.  It’s a new points rewards program where you earn points for each purchase and other processes.

Here’s an example of what you’ll see now with each printable….

It will show how many points you’ll earn if you purchase the item.  As you can see, we round it up, so in this case it’s a $2.50 item and you’ll receive 3 points.  During a sale, you’ll earn points for the regular price of the materials, and not the sale price.

Other ways that you can earn points are by opening an account with The Treasured Schoolhouse Shop.  That earns 5 points.  You can also earn 2 Treasured Points for each feedback that you leave on printables that you purchase.

When you’re ready to use your Treasured Points, you can redeem them during the checkout process.  When redeeming them, they have a value of 15 Treasured Points is equal to $1.  That means if you have 30 Treasured Points and are purchasing a $4 item, your 30 points will take $2 off the amount in the shopping cart.

The best part is that you can use your Treasured Points on your next purchase, or you can save them until you’re ready to use them.  The points never expire!

If you’d like to learn more about Treasured Points, please click here.  If there’s a question or comment that you have, please leave a comment on that page and I’ll reply right away!

President’s Day Money Game

This is a ffg (file folder game) that I made prior to the weekend and wanted to get posted, but I just ran out of time.  Hopefully, you’ll still have it on time to use in your classes, save until next year…..or just use it all year long!!

The ffg is Making Money with Washington and Lincoln.  Players roll the die and move that number of spaces around the board.  Landing on a marked space, they must draw a card and with their money, they must make that amount.  All money amounts are using the 2 coins and 2 bills that George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are on.  I’ve created several cards with the money amounts, as well as providing the die, money, optional card backs, and complete game.  All you’ll need are player tokens!!

President’s Day

I thought that I’d get this one out early so that there’d be plenty of time to use it!!  Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to create anything new for Valentine’s Day which is tomorrow.  That’ll have to be my goal for next year!!

This is President’s Day Sort and it includes the ffg (file folder game) and a worksheet to complete after the game is played.  Actually, I think I geared the worksheet to an older age group than the ffg, but it’d still be a great review.  Also, some of the images, little ones might not recognize.  You can just use the parts that work for you though!!

There are 12 images to sort for each President by placing the image on either the George Washington or Abraham Lincoln mat.  As it’s played, one might notice many similarites between the 2 presidents.  There’s also a worksheet that uses the sorting mat for answers, but also relies on how much the player knows about each of the presidents.  The last one is an essay to tell about similarities or differences between Washington and Lincoln or just to tell what the player knows about them.  The worksheet also has some true/false, short answer and knowledge.  I did include an answer key for the worksheet as well!!

Images and clipart from various internet sources and believed to be public domain.

Here’s a thumbnail view of some of the parts of this ffg and worksheet set….

Magnify the Nativity

Today is the 9th installment of Nativity A Day here on my blogs and I seem to be chugging right along with them.  I’m having lots of fun constantly coming up with ideas or going to my notes for ideas that I had for this nativity challenge of mine.

Today’s Nativity A Day freebie is a magnification game.  This time, I didn’t make the miniature images super tiny because I wanted it to be for a couple age/grade ranges.  Although my background is very dark, the miniature have large white boxes framing them so there’s no confusion.  My daughter was actually having fun with this one as I was making it trying to figure out which figure was which….without a magnifying glass!!  HAHA  So, I hope you and your kids like it just as much and fully enjoy it!!

Gingerbread Man Math Mat

I’m back today with another FREEBIE offering for Christmas!!  Yes, I’m on a roll.  I don’t know what happened, but I’m glad it happened.  HAHA  I had such a dry spell and now I’m ready to go and have plenty of ideas….now I just need the time!!

Today, I have some adorable gingers to offer in the form of a math mat!!  This mat can be used for addition, subtraction, greater than, equal to, and less than.  All that has to be done is to put the proper symbol on the mat, then add the gingerbread man tokens to each cookie sheet.  Just like that, a math problem/equation is made!!

Also, there’s 2 worksheets to accompany the math mat.  They can be used with the math mat or on their own.  There’s one worksheet for addition-subtraction and the other one is for greater-less than-equal to.

C is for Cookie Monster

A few weeks ago, my group had the theme of Cookie Monster.  I started some alphabet memory cards, but never got them finished.  I ended up not sharing anything for that theme because my creative juices weren’t working.  Well tonight, that changed!!

I not only finished the alphabet matching/memory cards, but I also created 3 additional items for Cookie Monster.  He’s such a fun character to work with!!  So what did I make??  First, there’s the alphabet matching/memory cards.  They will match the upper case letter with Cookie Monster to the lower case letter on the cookie.  I have to warn you that this font was a little funky and some of the letters don’t look quite right or are harder to identify like the lower case “j”.

I also made Cookie Monster Tic-Tac-Toe and I’m really happy with the way this turned out.  The game board is a Cookie Monster background and the tokens are 2 different cookies.  Next, there’s a set of Cookie Monster Label the Color Cards.  I’ve shared similar to these before.  Cookie Monster’s adorable face is imposed on different colors and they must label each with the correct color.

Finally, I made Counting Cookies with Cookie Monster.  This is a set of 3-part cards.  They will match the number of cookies, the number word, and the numeral that Cookie Monster has.  I did these with numbers 0-20 so that you can expand what you use with the kids as they progress.  I wanted to do to 25, but I just didn’t quite make the cards big enough or the cookies would have had to be tiny.

Here’s a peek at some of the pages….

If you’re interested these Cookie Monster materials, please just…..
