Cute Monkey Calendar Set

I spent today working on a calendar set off and on for most of the day.  This set is just so adorable, if I must say so myself!!  HAHA  It’s also an exclusive, just for you, my blog readers.  The calendar set would be perfect for a young preschool room as it’s very whimsical.  It’s also very well suited for a monkey or jungle themed room.  No matter what, I hope that you can find a place to use it!!

Letter of the Week: Pp

The current Letter of the Week is Pp. There’s 2 brand new writing practice sheets in both fonts (ZB and DN) with penny and pen.  I also did the magnet sheets and found it a bit of a challenge to make them upper and lower case and look that way!!  For the magnet sheets, I used pine cone and popcorn. I hope that you like them!!

Here’s a thumbnail collage of what I newly added to Letter of the Week…..

As well as the new items I created, the folder also contains the items that I made previously, which includes writing practice sheets, Play-Doh mats, and a My Letter Pp Book in both fonts.  There’s also a set of letter tile mats which I added a couple new words to and did a word list so that the kids can self-check.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:  I created these for my Y!Group for our “letter of the week” for the previous school year.  Members started asking that I include a word list so that the kids can self-check themselves.  When I posted this, I forgot to include the word list.  It’s now included and while I was at it, I added several more word tile cards.  So if you’ve downloaded this, please download the new version so that you have the most updated file!!

Pumpkin Patch Alphabet Kids – Upper Case

My family and I had a movie marathon today.  In between times, I created this new game.  It’s Pumpkin Patch Alphabet Kids and works on the skill of matching lower case letter to the uppper case letter.

I didn’t place the upper case letters in alphabetical order on the game board because I know how well kids are at memorizing them!!  The player will place a lower case pumpkin letter token on the upper case letter pumpkin patch kid.  This should make for a fun autumn game and keep the kids busy for awhile!!

Here’s a collage of the some of the parts of this game…..

If you’re interested Pumpkin Patch Alphabet Kids, please just…..

If you use this ffg, please leave a comment and let me know how you and the kids like it and also, if you’d like to see a lower case game.  I’d appreciate it if you’d click the button below (as well as in the side bar under “vote or rate The Schoolhouse”).  I love feedback….thanks!!

Direction Prepositions with Mr. Snuffleupagus

Earlier this week, I shared a spacial (location) preposition book with you.  It featured Mr. Snuffleupagus and one of his favorite foods….cabbage!!

This time, the item that I’m sharing is a spacial (direction) preposition book featuring Snuffy again.  However, this one features what Snuffy is doing.  It also includes his cave home and his other favorite food, spaghetti!!  After reading the sentence and identifying the spacial preposition, the kids will write it on the line under the picture.

Here’s a collage sample of some of the pages….

If you’re interested this spacial preposition book, please just…..

Location Prepositions with Mr. Snuffleupagus

This week, I’m going to offer a couple preposition items that I’ve been working on.  They will feature one of my favorite Sesame Street characters, Mr. Snuffleupagus.  Mr. Snuffleupagus is better known as Snuffy to most of us and his full name is Aloysius Snuffleupagus.  He resides in a cave, just off of Sesame Street and his birthday is 19 August.  He has a sister named Alice and lives with family, Mommy Snuffle and Daddy Snuffle.  There’s also other family members in the cave.  Snuffy’s best friend is Big Bird and his favorite foods are cabbage and spaghetti.

The first item that I’m sharing is a spacial (location) preposition book featuring Snuffy.  This book is all about locating where Snuffy’s cabbage is.  After reading the sentence and identifying the spacial preposition, the kids will write it on the line under the picture.

Here’s a collage sample of some of the pages….

If you’re interested this spacial preposition book, please just…..
